Headwear helps build out a complete garment so that workers are ready to hit the jobsite with the proper coverage and style.
I put together a multi-year headwear strategy and was the designer for all the headwear pieces included in the initial 2018 launch. Everything was designed from the ground up to meet the needs of our customers and match our design intent.

2018 PERFORMANCE HEADWEAR
Headwear helps build out a complete garment so that workers are ready to hit the jobsite. I put together a multi-year headwear strategy and was the designer for all the headwear pieces included in the initial 2018 launch.
For Milwaukee's 2018 launch, the team was asked to provide performance-oriented cold-weather headwear for customers to wear all day with the PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) like hard hats and safety glasses that they are often required to wear on job sites.

Both pieces of headwear feature low-bulk construction to fit comfortably underneath a hardhat suspension.

Fabrics were chosen to provide the perfect balance between breathability and warmth, which is important for high activity headwear.

Four-way stretch provides a comfortable fit, and the pattering provides coverage over ears for the hard hat liner and extended neck coverage for the balaclava hem.
2018 STANDARD HEADWEAR
Other headwear offering launched in Fall 2018 were still designed with a jobsite-ready focus, but they fall into a lifestyle oriented category since they are not on the technical fringe in terms of fabric and construction. They all still designed to be comfortable, durable, and a compliment to the rest of the Milwaukee apparel line.
