LIGHTING CARRY BAGS
Occasionally, some of Milwaukee's products have a softgoods component included with the purchase (custom carry bags, backpack harness, carry straps, etc.) Generally, the primary purpose is carrying or weight distribution on a wearer's body. Bags are also intended to be the protective storage option when a hard case would be overly bulky and heavy to be practical.
Each lighting bag shown here is bespoke for an intended light as part of a kit. Every product is a balance of the budget, while still providing useful features.

GEN 2 - M18 ROCKET TOWER LIGHT BAG
The second generation tower light carry bag had the benefit of insight from Gen 1, but the burden of an expanded tower light portfolio to accommodate. The design intent distilled to a few key points:

Improve the access to the bag and the experience of placing/removing the light

Simplify the form to easily accommodate the largest and smallest lights the bag can carry

Provide protection to the contents
A new zipper path allows the bag to naturally fall open, granting the user complete access to the interior for easy entry. The single, simplified main compartment easily fits the entire line of Milwaukee M18 tower lights.

A small scale prototype was created to prove out the concept before moving completely into full scale.

The original intent with this carry bag was to mimic the light it was designed to carry in terms of silhouette, orientation and brand presentation. This bag provided additional functionality for an already functional light:

Fully padded bag for rough handling; plastic reinforcement panel over the lamp head

1680D exterior, 200D interior: protection where it is most useful

Padded shoulder strap to free up hands to carry other tools

Lined and padded compartment for extra batteries or charger

M18 UTILITY BUCKET LIGHT BAG

The Milwaukee utility bucket light is an extremely unique, niche light. As its name implies, it is designed for a utility bucket for linemen to light up their workspaces. The shape of the light is very different from other light forms, as the light hangs off the side of bucket and only rarely placed on the ground.

Padding throughout protects the light inside the utility truck boxes, while the base includes a 3mm PP panel for support

The shape of the bag allows the light to sit upright and not fall over

Additional storage compartments hold two extra batteries and a charger that come kitted with the light
