CUSTOM H-D PARTS

Every Harley-Davidson owner has numerous opportunities to customize their motorcycle to their own personal taste. Genuine, factory-built parts offer the cleanest physical integration with the OE motorcycle. When parts are designed by H-D designers, the visual integration is seamless and matches the aesthetic of the bike.

PARTS & ACCESSORIES

ELECTRA GLO KEYSTONE AUXILIARY LAMPS

Run/brake/turn lamps that fit into a narrow opening on Electra Glide Ultra Classic motorcycles. Customers want increased conspicuity with additional lights, but also appreciate an integrated look that works with the sculpted lines and forms of the existing luggage and fender.

I arrived at a design that had a blackout center with a glowing halo during normal running operation with a light up center for increased visual impact and brightness during braking/turning. The visual depth of the halo pays homage to the existing OEM shape with a purposeful look that is neither aftermarket, or afterthought.

FLHX TAPERED MIRRORS

A quick project to make a tapered mirror set for FLHX Street Glide motorcycles; the edgier Touring bikes. I cut out shapes from card stock, then I did a quick back-side detail study before refining the design into a pair of designs: "bright" and edge-cut black. The final mirrors aligned closely with other existing H-D accessories which allowed customers to make a unified look.

ROAD GLIDE WINDSHIELD BAG

Storage accessory for Road Glide motorcycles. The goal was to provide easy access storage for common riding items like sunglasses, quick access to money for tolls or an additional spot for a mobile device or sunscreen. The supplier was used to working off of a sketch, so that was the only set of deliverables on my end before getting prototypes back, then small refinements before production.

HANDLEBAR MOUNTED SPEAKERS

This project was an update/refresh of a handlebar mounted speaker set. The newer version needed an increased housing to improve acoustic performance, but would still use the same size drivers with updated circuitry. I made suggestions to improve the user interface since the older version was somewhat difficult to reach and use with gloves on.
